Australia vs Asia

Man, I can't believe why prices are so much hinger in Australia (we are talking lenses here). Nearly all the lenses I wanted are 20% over price. Mark up?? and the funny thing is if you going to go to wholesale store? you'd expect to pay below what other store(retail) give you? well thats just my view seeing 'wholesale' weird..

for example;

Price breakdown;
exchange rate Rp6900

17-40F4L

Aus store: $1300
Asia store: $880

yeah i know taxes and stuff like that in aus.

they are meant to go for 880$ let say
$880+10% tax = $968

$1300 - $968 = $332....
maybe there are some other tax

oops am i whinging or what?? lol...

Hahaha .. I know man ... I really have to post-pone my lens purchase to buy it at the end of the year in Jakarta .. hahahah

Bisa miskin beli lensa disini ...

contoh:
70-200 L IS
in Camera House $3299 = Rp approx. Rp 23,000,000.

JPC Kemang = Rp 15,000,000.

Rp 8,000,000 difference? You can add a 17-40 L for that ... it costs Rp 6,000,000.

Geez man ...

eya... sigma 50mm f2.8 ex dg macro tuh waktu itu beli disni bayar $495 (rrpnya 600 kalo ga salah), which is 3.4 jeti... di indo gw liat websitenya jpc kemang tulisnya 2.6 jeti... 30% difference boq!! laen kali beli lens di indo aja dah.. hahaha.... T-T

Yes, its start from $1400 and best is $1300 after wondering around across adelaide.

hehehe sebenernya udah cek websitenya si jpc kemang si pas gw beli lensnya... masalahnya pas gw beli tuh baru may... balik indo kan december.. dah ngga mo nunggu2an lagi.. kelamaan oiy... extra dollars i was willing to spend lah... tapi lain kali dah ngga mau gitu lagi.. hyahyahya....

lagi pengen beli 17-40 f4l yah?
